Winfield Engineering Ltd officially became the new owner of the Red Rhino brand at the beginning of March 2009.

Winfield Engineering Ltd, formed in 1968, is a second generation family business with a long established independent fabrication engineering background. Winfield Engineering is based in Grantham, Lincolnshire and has over 40 years of engineering experience. With a highly professional approach and skilled work force, the company strives to deliver ongoing quality and cost saving solutions to all their customers along with providing the latest in engineering innovation.

Red Rhino is now proud to boast it has its own state of the art manufacturing facility, spread over some 45,000 sqft of shop floor space, encompassing an impressive range of engineering equipment including its own laser cutting facility, CNC press brakes, a CNC machine shop, 11 meter shotblasting room, heated spray / bake painting facilities, robotic welding centre’s & Faro Arm inspection facilities all monitored through our rigorous quality control system, plus a full range of modern fabrication equipment. We manufacture ‘in-house’ the vast majority of parts & fabrications giving our customers maximum value for money through the core investment in our manufacturing facility.

Rest assured, if it’s a Rhino, it’s been nurtured from raw materials & turned into a market leading machine that is proud to wear both the renowned Red Rhino / Winfield Engineering Ltd decals as well as the Union Jack.

Managing Director, Mr. Simon Winfield, and his co-directors recognized an opportunity of a lifetime – “My team and I really look forward to manufacturing such an established, innovative and green product,” said Mr. Winfield. “It is our mission to take the Red Rhino brand to the next level, we already have plenty of new ideas which will be implemented right from the start.”

Mr. Winfield says he appreciates the fact that the construction industry has taken a bit of a ‘body-punch’ recently but believes that the continual increase in enquiries indicates a boost in consumers recognizing the significant cost reduction savings generated by onsite recycling. “The Red Rhino brand is known all over the world and is a vital necessity in the construction industry which help save masses of money but also help the fight against waste going to landfill – an obviously greener option!” said Mr. Winfield.
